Yarn Details

All of my yarn is mulesing free.  The BFL (Blue Faced Leicester) is grown on small farms around the UK.  The merino is sourced from various farms in Argentina, Uruguay and The Falklands and from small herds in Peru – the wool is the main, if not only, income for the shepherds on the smallholdings, so it is in their interests to look after their flocks.

Most of my colourways are repeatable. You can find my colourways album on Pinterest – https://www.pinterest.co.uk/feltfusion/felt-fusion… but please remember that no two dye lots or batches are the same.

My main yarn bases are listed below. If you cannot see what you are looking for please get in touch (via the enquiries form) and I will see if I can source your requested base.  Occasionally I carry other yarns and fibres and sometimes those listed below are not available.

All meterage and weights are approximate.. Yarns are hand dyed, using acid dyes, they are washed and dried before being reskeined where deemed necessary. Lace weight yarns will not be reskeined. Occasionally you may experience dyes bleeding when you wash your finished item, this is normal and rinses out with time, much like with your new jeans. It is recommended that you do not use hand creams, or other products while you work with your yarn and unscented wool washes are preferable – very occasionally scents and products, or even your skin’s pH, or your local water can affect the dye fixing and cause it to bleed. This is incidental and not a refundable flaw. Hand washing of your finished project is recommended. You may find the occasional knot in your yarn, as is standard in the yarn industry. Yarn bases are subject to availability.
